The wait is almost over. Elden Ring: Nightreign, the highly anticipated standalone spin-off set in the Lands Between universe, is arriving in just three days—on May 30, 2025.

Unlike the original Elden Ring, which focused on open-ended solo exploration, Nightreign takes a daring new direction. This time, FromSoftware is inviting players into a dynamic, procedurally generated world called Limveld, built from the ground up for cooperative gameplay. You’ll team up with up to two other Tarnished warriors, each assuming one of eight distinct character classes—each boasting unique mechanics and battle roles.

Where Elden Ring challenged lone adventurers to unravel a fragmented world, Nightreign demands synergy. Combat encounters are now tuned for trio-based tactics, meaning positioning, timing, and role composition will matter more than ever before. Expect intense team battles, treacherous dungeons, and secrets hidden in a map that reshapes itself each time you enter.

The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox One / Series X|S, although crossplay between platforms won’t be supported at launch. Preloading opens 48 hours before release, so players will be able to jump in the moment the servers go live.

🕐 For players in Europe (EEST timezone), the official unlock time is 1:00 AM on May 30.

While Nightreign is not a direct sequel, it expands the Elden Ring mythos in new and experimental ways. Expect fresh lore, haunting enemy designs, and an ambient score that amplifies the dread and beauty of Limveld. There’s no George R.R. Martin this time—but the storytelling is no less cryptic and compelling.

So, rally your crew, sharpen your blades, and prepare for the descent. The shrouded lands of Limveld await!
